  1. Ok, love the article, question:

I have just bought a home, built 1961 in the living room 26 ft long there are goldenrod colored heavy silk drapes. These are beautiful plan on keeping them, what color palettes would you recommend. I am not interested in a yellow or gold these go the whole length of this wall. Thank you !

Great question, Laura. It really depends on how you want your space to feel. I wrote a post about choosing color palettes and I’m sure it will help! Good luck on that “new” home!

Hi Corey. Loved your advice on greige . We are currently building a home in New England. The home has a huge living/dining room combo and is attached to the kitchen/breakfast Nook. The kitchen has white cabinets with Smoke colored quartz countertops. Because the countertop has a greige color in it I wanted to pick up that color for the kitchen backsplash and the walls. The living room/dining room have huge ceilings on the north side of the house with a view (4 windows). Do you think the requisite, mindful would look good with those colors? Also there is a dark grey island cabinet in the middle of the kitchen. Thank you for your advice

Hey Kathie, So glad you found the post helpful. I’m unable to give specific color advice since I can’t see your home in person. I’m hoping you’ve already downloaded the color guide and read my other posts on choosing color listed on this page. You’re sure to find them helpful as well.

I love your curtians in your living room. I can’t tell in the pic are they gray or light teal? I am having a hard time finding same color curtains with differing patterns. I love how you did same colors but differ patterns. Very pretty!

    1. Corey Willis says:

Thank you, Heather! The curtains are gray and you can read how I made them (super easy!) on this post.
