Something you may not know about me is that I am super close with my mom. As in she is my best friend, I talk to her at least once a day, see her a few times a week, and I’m not really sure what I would do without her. She is fun, funny, and always looking for ways to make people feel extra special, a department that, I’ll admit I could use some help in. So when it comes to mother’s day gift ideas I struggle sometimes to figure out the best gifts for mom. But, in recent years I’ve tried my hardest to remember when she casually mentions something that she wants and make note of it for when a holiday rolls around. And so with Mother’s day coming up I wanted to get her a little something to show that I care, but also that I was paying attention when she mentioned that she would love to have a mug with my kid’s faces on it. You see a few years ago I ordered a custom mug from Tiny Prints with photos of my little lady (don’t worry I didn’t forget the mister, he just didn’t exist then.) Anyway, I remember my mom saying that she would really like to have one too even though she doesn’t drink coffee.
So because I was listening, I decided to make her one too! But handing your mom just a mug on Mother’s Day is so 4th grade so I stepped it up a notch and thought that I would make her a Morning on the Patio Mother’s Day Gift Basket perfect for this time of year.
Although I’m a stay at home mom, my mom takes my kids one day a week so that I can have a day to do what I need to get done. So on the days when my kids aren’t crazying up her house I thought it would be nice for her to enjoy a nice relaxing cup of tea and a magazine on her patio. And she is going to love drinking her tea from her very own custom mug from Tiny Prints!
See my 2 cuties on there? I even got to customize the wording and make it say “Uma” which is what my daughter named her early on. The other side has a photo of the 3 of them together.
Here is what I included for the Morning On the Patio Mother’s Day Gift Basket…
The basket shown is from World Market
1. A Magazine from Target
2. A little notebook for her to write her to do list for the day from Target
3. Custom Mug from TinyPrints.com

5. A Spa Finder gift card so she can go pamper herself later
6. Cute acrylic outdoor plates from Target
7. Some lemon curd cause she likes it and I figure she may be having a little breakfast on the patio too.
But I didn’t stop there! I came up with another fun gift basket idea too. Everyone loves a few (or a whole heck of a lot) of desk accessories right?
So how about a Fun Desk Accessories Mother’s Day Gift Basket?
I’m all about making my to do lists and being a least somewhat organized and would love to get a little basket like this one.
How fun are all of those prints?
And because I was already on Tiny Prints, I added this fun iphone case to my cart to include in my desk accessories gift basket. There are my cuties again!
In this basket I included:

2. Mechanical pencils from Target
3. A Spa Finder gift card (cause every mom deserves a treat)
