For some reason making a wreath has always intimidated me.

Weird I know, but I looked fear straight in the face and it was so much fun to create this ornament wreath that has all of the fun colors that I’ll be displaying this Christmas! You can’t go wrong with disco ball ornaments right?

The supplies I used were easy to find…

  • 12 inch wire wreath frame
  • floral wire
  • wire cutters
  • colorful shatterproof ball ornaments

Since I’m a wreath novice I played around with some of the supplies before deciding that for a DIY ornament wreath the wire wreath form would work best.

How to make a Christmas Ornament Wreath

The first thing I did was create little bundles of 3 or 4 ornaments using the wire.

I cut about 6 inches of wire, made it into a v shape and added my ornaments. Then I gave it a twist to keep them all together.

Once I had quite a few bundles, I attached each bundle to the wire wreath form.

I placed each bundle right next to the one before it to keep the ornaments really close.

Once I was done, I clipped the excess wire for each bundle off and bent the ends under so they wouldn’t poke me or scratch up the wall or door once the wreath is hung.

Then it is ready to hang!

I’m loving this fun color combo and you can choose any combo that fits your style! Suddenly I’m itching to get up in the attic and get our Christmas stuff down!

My little lady and I decorate for Christmas together and it is one of my favorite things. I know she is going to love this year’s color scheme! You can see it here!

Wreaths are one of my favorite things to make, but I’ve never made an ornament wreath. Yours turned out beautifully!

Thanks lady! I literally walked around the store wondering what to put on my wreath thinking I had to be complicated for some reason, then I saw these and knew simple and colorful was the way to go! Why do I over think things so much?
