Sugar Rimmed Sparkling Moscato

The day-0-love is coming up and whether you are spending it with the love of your life, or with your girlfriends, this sugar rimmed sparkling moscato is going to give it that little extra touch of special that we all need in our lives Valentine’s Day or not!

Adding a colorful sugar rim to your glasses is really easy.

On a plate fold a paper towel and then soak it with water. On another plate, pour a pile of your sugar or sprinkles. I used pink cake sparkles by Wilton (found at Michael’s.)

Take your empty glasses and press the rim down on the paper towel to get it wet.

Then dip in in the sugar and give it a slight wiggle.

Boom!

For this easy drink I didn’t even mix up a fancy concoction. Pink sparkling moscato is perfect for the occasion.

I added a raspberry in the bottom of each glass for an extra pop of color and then just pour your sparkling drink of choice into the glasses being careful not to get the rims wet as you pour.Valentine's day cocktail

If you use these same cake sparkles, you’ll notice that they leave a little bit of a film on your glasses. Just run them under warm water and it comes right off.

And that’s it! I’m thinking that this is a drink I’d probably rather share with my girlfriends while gabbing and stuffing my face with sweet treats. Just sayin’.

Whom ever you end up spending time with this Valentine’s Day, they are one lucky person. Make sure they know so!
