Hi friends! I hope you are enjoying the end of your summer. Things have been at full speed around here and don’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. I’ve been away from the computer more than usual because I’ve been busy with summer fun and when I do get some time, I’ve been working on a bunch of projects that I’m so excited to share with you soon!
I’ve also helped my mom a bit with her living room revamp and it looks stunning! I’ve got to get over there to take some pics so I can show you. Just consider this DIY Reupholstered entry bench a teaser.
My mom has the rip it apart and make it your own bug like me. I guess you could say that growing up my parents were always doing projects around the house and my mom always had a knack for making our home a lovely place to be and it rubbed off on me. So when she recently redid her living room this bench that sits in her entryway suddenly stood out, and not in a good way.
So we chatted about what she should do, and we decided that the leftover fabric from her new curtains would be perfect for this bench!
So that is exactly what she did!
She took the top off, by unscrewing it from underneath, took off the old fabric. Then she put the new fabric over the same piece of foam by pulling it tight and securing it with a staple gun.
Then she gave the base a few coats of white gloss spray paint.
She put the newly reupholstered bench seat back on and finally put the nail head trim from the old piece back on too!
Now it is so much brighter and updated!
And just so you get a sneak peek, it goes so much better with her updated room!
How is that for a no cost furniture makeover?
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m super excited for fall not only to get back into my routine, but I have some great projects that are nearly done that I need to get posted! My lil’ lady is starting pre-k this year and I’m thinking our new schedule is going to be so great for me to get some extra blog time!
